What Inspires Me Wednesday: Pinterest

My new obsession that I have fallen in love with is Pinterest. I love this site because you can create virtual inspiration boards without having to cut, copy and paste like before.

The perfect description of Pinterest comes directly from their Web site.

"Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and "follow" collections created by people with great taste. People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things -- wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it."

What Inspires Me Wednesday: My boys

Two of my greatest inspirations are my boys; Grant (6) and Jackson (turns 4 on June 28). From my interactions on a daily basis as my first and most important job is being a stay at home mom, I learn something new everyday from them. By just sitting back and watching them is hours and hours of endless entertainment. From their playtime to the the words that come out of their mouths is always an adventure. I know I become a better wife, mother and wedding & event planner because of them. Everything I do is because of my husband and boys and I thank them for being part of my life.

What Inspires Me Wednesday: Flowers

What girl doesn't love flowers, right? From their bright colors, shapes, fragrance and textures are just a few reasons why flowers inspire me. My favorites are dahlias, peonies, hydrangea and the classic rose. Flowers inspire in helping clients create their dream event and their vibrant colors inspires me when creating new color combinations. Most importantly, I feel that by having fresh flowers in my house just inspire my positive attitude!

Wednesday: What Inspires Me?

Similar to Etsy Monday, I am going to start a new tradition on Wednesdays that I am calling, What Inspires Me Wednesday. These postings will highlight people, places and things that inspires me in my life as a wife & mother and wedding/event planner.

This first post will be my favorite Websites and Blogs.

The first part of my mornings, once my boys are off to school, I turn on my laptop and after checking my email, I visit about 20-50 sites in a span of an hour (I limit myself to 60 minutes, otherwise I could spend all day researching).

These sites provide endless amounts of ideas that I incorporate into my weddings & events to help clients have the perfect event (and most importantly within their budget). Each site provides unique tips and tricks and create ideas for future events.
