Short dresses are coming back into style, thank goodness! I've been a fan of the retro styled short dresses for years now. It's just a little bit quirky, full of sass, but screams elegance. Short dresses can come in all types of looks. They can have clean classic lines mimicking the 50's and 60's or sultry details full of lace bringing forth the vintage undertones. Short dresses are taking weddings by storms, and are not just for the vintage styled bride. All weddings can happily feature a short dress on the bride. These are versatile and come in all different styles to fit your special day and personal style. Before you discount these darling dresses, browse through some dresses yourself. It may bring out a side of you that you haven't seen before.

Crop Tops, Say What?
Wednesday, April 22, 2015
Yes, you read it right.Today, I'm talking about crop tops on a wedding blog... Crop tops in wedding gowns may sound absurd or perhaps a little too Cochella for some of you, but let me tell you these midriff bearing gowns are the latest apple of my eye. Designers are jumping on board with the crop top trend. Crop top gowns are EVERYWHERE. The majority of these gowns and pieces feature bohemian accents that would tie in perfectly with an organic affair. Let me tell you- these crop tops aren't just for the boho, floral crown loving bride. Even the Audrey Hepburn in you has to get a little excited.
You may be thinking, how can you be a fan of these Rachel? Aren't these a little seductive for a wedding now? Well, yes and no ladies. These aren't for the every day bride, but if you're daring enough give these a try. They are fashion forward, but add a just a bit vintage flair to your wedding day. Believe it or not, the classic structures of the skirts provide a timeless look. They look classy, fashion forward, and will leave you're guests and fiancé breathless. I'm a fan, if you aren't convinced yet take a look for yourself. Ready, set, okay- you can go ahead and gush now.
So grab your inner Cochella and Audrey and head down to your nearest bridal store. DO IT.

Three simple words- two tiered veils
Wednesday, April 15, 2015
Now, for a while I've been in a love hate relationship with veils. Too many
veils seem outdated and too traditional- but folks, I can't help but fall in
love with veils again. Now, I'm not the most traditional gal, but these veils have me running towards the alter. Two tiered veils are by
far my favorite. Why you ask? One word: Classic. These veils are the classiest
of them all. Use the top tier for a blusher or keep it back for a full effect.
It adds volume to any hairstyle and creates a dramatic, but classic look to any
wedding gown. The great thing about veils these days are that there are various
adornments, appliqués, and details that grace the delicate tulle. These
embellishments bring the veil into the modern world.
Take a look at some of the looks I'm loving.
Take a look at some of the looks I'm loving.
Yes, yes, yes! Classic two tiered veil with ornate beading
on the edges. What groom wouldn't be enchanted by this look?
Eyelash lace? Sign me up.
Before you say no to the veil, try one on- you may surprise yourself!

Southern Wedding Fashion
Wednesday, April 8, 2015
Southern style, oh how I adore thee. Southern style weddings
are popping up all over and not just in the south. Say hello to classic and
timeless gowns with intimate detailing throughout. As for the groom's style,
seersucker suits, soft fabrics, linen, vests, suspenders, colorful bow ties,
all grace the isles at Southern style weddings. I'm such a fan, you have no
idea. This attire is absolutely effortless and completely timeless. So let your
wedding party dazzle- but in a different way.
Say I do in a pretty little white church with this number. The buttons down the
back create a romantic vibe but this dress is nothing but class.
Tan linen suits and vests. Yes please! Keep your groomsmen and groom cool with
this dapper look.
Let your girls style themselves with the same color palette. Daring patterns
and a mixture of hues will add a sweet charm to your big day! Of course add a
pair of cowgirl books.
Why not add a colorful bow tie? Suspenders and bow ties- oh my!
Watch out for this trend- it's one that is sure to last a while!

What kind of dress do you want your Maids to be wearing?
Wednesday, April 1, 2015
For the last few weeks I've been watching the latest wedding
dress trends. You may be thinking- "Awesome, but what about my
girls?" Well, folks, Jim Hjelm has you covered. Jim Hjelm is definitely
one of my favorite wedding dress designers but be also specializes in designing
bridesmaid gowns and special occasion dresses. His dresses feature soft
romantic lines in various textures and fabrics. His latest collection features
chiffon and draping that will flatter your bridesmaids! Why not have your
bridesmaids look just as good as you in a fab Jim Hjelm dress? They will thank
you for it.
Chiffon draping screams romance folks.
A lace illusion neckline in a dark color palette can add some contrast to your
wedding scheme.
This bodice is sure to flatter.
A one shoulder with a textured accent piece adds a bit of modern flair.
Don't forget about your bridesmaids ladies. After all they are the ones that
will be by your side and have been all these years. Let them have a little bit
of glam too.

Fashion: A look at Carolina Herrera
Wednesday, March 25, 2015
Classic,
timeless, with a twist, that's Carolina Herrera for you. Carolina Herrera has
been around for years. Her name is a staple in the fashion and bridal industry.
Her collection screams classic lines with modern flair and silhouettes that
flatter.
Her gowns this season are pure romance. The collection keeps true to her classic
design aspect featuring clean lines, but the textures and details give the
gowns just a little something extra.
A full tulle skirt provides a whimsical look. The plunging neckline with delicate insert give the dress a romantic feel. This dress would suit various body types as well.
This is THE dress to look for. It's a trumpet gown with a unique lace design.
The lace turns from a simple adornment to the main feature or pattern of the
dress. It's to die for folks, and paired with a double veil or blusher-
perfection.
Take me back to the 1950's please, especially if I can look like this. This tea length gown features tulle and lace detailing. The illusion neckline adds a romantic touch for your big day.
Carolina Herrera, I just want to live a day in your design studio, or have your collection in my closet. For now, I'll have to settle for vicariously living through your photos- thanks google for making that dream possible.
