Hello,
my name is Morgan Hughes but everyone calls me Mo! I was born and raised in the
city of lights otherwise known as the bachelorette metropolis, Las Vegas! I am
a native to the town where you can sign up for a drive-through wedding, get
serenaded by Elvis, and make people watching part of the reception (trust me,
it's quite entertaining). I will never lose touch to my Vegas roots but
Washington has been such a wonderful growing experience! As a recent graduate
from the University of Washington -Tacoma, I realized it was time to live my
life to the fullest and to follow my dreams with event planning. It is truly a
blessing to join the Elegant Affairs intern team for the 2015 wedding season!
I'm looking forward to the spectacular experiences in store for me, let's make
some magic happen! Every week I will be blogging about Bride Personality Types,
keep checking back to learn about yours!

Hi! I'm Jennifer Miller and I am a junior at the University of Washington! I am
extremely excited and grateful to intern Elegant Affairs. I cannot
wait to get started and learn first hand from such a talented wedding planner.
I have always loved weddings and everything that goes into the event to make it
so special and it is a dream come true to help make brides’ visions a reality.
As an intern I will be posting helpful hints and reminders on the blog to help
ease stress and make the wedding planning process as smooth as possible. I
cannot wait to get started!

Hello 2015!
It's hard to believe that its already March but more importantly its 2015. Where has the time gone? 2015 is a big year in Elegant Affairs as this August we will mark 10 years in existence. We have been blessed with all of our amazing clients over the decade and we couldn't have done it without you.
More importantly, I wouldn't be here without all my amazing staff who have stuck by my side over the years. Words cannot even describe what you mean to mean.
Looking forward to the remaining months of the year, and yes you did read right, I mean for the next nine months expect some large changes to Elegant Affairs, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, one thing I am excited to announce is our Daily Blog posts from our entire team. We plan on starting this upcoming Monday so keep your eyes open. But before we start, we are going to introduce our newest staff members. You have already met, Kim Merlich our newest wedding planner and we can't wait for you to meet and get to know the rest of our amazing team.
Finally, we would love for you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter (@eaffairswa) and Instagram (@elegantaffairswa).

Welcoming a new Wedding Planner
Thursday, February 26, 2015

We are thrilled to introduce our newest Elegant Affairs Wedding Planner Kim Merlich. Kim is not a new face with Elegant Affairs, as this will be her second season with us. Kim served as a Wedding Day Assistant during last year and it was very evident from the beginning that she had what we were looking for.
Kim brings a lot to this role and is a Jill of all trades. She is now booking weddings for 2015 and already has her first one on the books.
From Kim: My name is Kim Merlich and this will be by second wedding season with Elegant Affairs. I began as an intern last summer and assisted Lori, Rachel and Mandi Jo in over 20 of their weddings! I just couldn't get enough. As an Interior Design student my most favorite aspects of wedding and event design are all of the personal touches, arranging tablescapes, and helping create ceiling and wall installations. As the resident hand-letterist of the team, I also love to illustrate calligraphy details for our couples. Lori asked me to become a permanent Elegant Affairs member for this coming season and I couldn't be more thrilled for this awesome opportunity. I can't wait to start booking weddings of my own for 2015!
